Customer Groups

I have worked for companies not familiar with IT processes at all to larger companies with a lot of IT processes and more reluctant to change.

The Self-Assessment applies to all Customer Groups small & large from Non-IT companies to established IT companies who have been using IT software for years.

While I utilize many industry defined processes later down the line, at the start I like to keep things simple to ensure everyone is speaking the same language before diving into the problems themselves.

To start, I encourage you to review the Customer Groups mentioned below and:

  1. Identify which Customer Group sounds like you

  2. Review the sample problems

  3. Establish if this is an area where you could use professional assistance

  4. Establish if there may be other issues costing you or your company time, money and stress

  5. If you feel you may need professional assistance, I am here to help! Fill out the Self-Assessment and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

  • A) Non-IT Companies rapidly adopting IT processes

We are in the midst of a Digital Disruption and many traditional non-IT companies are finding themselves suddenly thrown into the IT world in order to keep up with the current digital trends.

  • B) IT Companies with semi-defined or dated IT processes

Many companies have IT processes established but they are now out of date and leading to similar issues as Group A whereby they do not have the overview they desire nor a suitable grasp on the quality of the software released to their own customers. While the symptoms may be similar, the strategy on ensuring these problems are fixed moving forward or prevented from happening in the first place can differ greatly.

  • C) Non-IT companies unaware of the benefits of integrating IT processes into their business

The customer base here would be non-traditional IT companies that are not involved in the IT world really at all (outside of perhaps a website or social media accounts). Although you do not develop software, you can definitely benefit from processes used primarily in the IT world!

  • D) You are a individual who wants to become more efficient in your day to day life

I use many digital tools in my day to day that has vastly improved my personal life and saved me a lot of time.

Coaching, mentoring on digital tools and how to best use them to tackle your day to day errands and tasks

Crisis Management

Groups A through C may be going through a reorganization of their company, facing mass layoffs and / or a change in key management functions.  I have been involved in similar reorganizations over the years as both a stakeholder and a leader in spearheading the IT strategy and roll out plans needed to push forward in times of crisis.

My approach here would also focus initially on self-assessment, identifying Problem Statements and coming up with an appropriate strategy.  As experience has proven however, there would be a lot more emphasis on quick execution and roll out with such a time crunch. In these times it is vital to balance planning and execution phases without falling in to the “fire fighting mode” trap!
